How to get to our institute

SHMU is located in the nice and stimulating environment of Koliba hill, Jeseniova 17, Bratislava. It can be reached by public transport (note that all bus and trolleybus stops in Bratislava public transport are request stops):

BY PLANE
  • to Bratislava
From Bratislava airport take the bus No. 61 from its terminus in front of the arrival hall. Change at Karpatska stop to trolleybus No. 44 direction Koliba. The stop is located across the street direction uphill, 1 min walk. The whole journey takes about 45 minutes. Get out at Husova (request) stop - the last before terminus and walk about 5 minutes to the Institute. Use its main entrance from Vancurova street (map).   • to Vienna (Schwechat airport)
From Schwechat airport there are regular and frequent buses to Bratislava Central bus station available with three companies: One way ticket costs 5-16 EUR (depending on the day time) and can be bought from the bus driver or on the internet. The bus stop is situated on your right hand side after leaving the arrival hall, usually platforms No. 2, 3 or 4. The journey takes 45-60 min. BY BUS
From the Central bus station take trolleybus No. 40 (the stop is in the vicinity of the Central bus station, opposite side of the street) towards Hlavna stanica. Change at Karpatska stop to trolleybus No. 44 direction Koliba. The stop is located across the street direction uphill, 1 min walk. The whole journey takes about 20 minutes. Get out at Husova (request) stop - the last before the end of the line and walk about 5 minutes to the Institute. Use its main entrance from Vancurova street (map). BY TRAIN
Take any of the trolleybuses or buses No. 40, 71, 61 in front of the main hall for two stops. Change at Karpatska stop to trolleybus No. 44 direction Koliba. The stop is located across the street direction uphill, 1 min walk. The whole journey takes about 20 minutes. Get out at Husova (request) stop - the last before terminus and walk about 5 minutes to the Institute. BY LOCAL TRANSPORT from the hotels located in the city centre
Take the trolleybus No. 44 from Hodzovo namestie (H. square) towards Koliba. The whole journey takes about 15 minutes.
